What is Junior Frisco Women’s League?
The Junior Frisco Women’s League is a group of young women, ages
16-19, who are interested in helping the city of Frisco through
volunteering.
The Purpose of Junior Frisco Women’s
League
The focus of the Junior Frisco Women’s League program is
mentoring, community service and education about college
opportunities. Membership in Junior Frisco Women’s League gives a
young woman the opportunity to work with her community, members of
Frisco Women’s League and members of her league.
Benefits of Membership
As a member of Junior Frisco Women’s League a young woman will
learn to develop leadership skills and gain valuable knowledge of
college preparation and college life. Involvement in Junior Frisco
Women’s League can often be used towards school credits. This
volunteer experience can give members an edge when applying for jobs
and college. You will find a volunteer record sheet to track service
hours in your membership folder. Most importantly membership in
Junior Frisco Women’s League gives a young woman the opportunity to
increase self-esteem through helping others.
Meetings
There are four regular Junior Frisco Women’s League meetings a
year. These meetings are designed to help members make knowledgeable
decisions about college. There will be a meet and greet session at
the beginning of each new membership class. This will be a time of
discussion about Junior Frisco Women’s League.
Community Involvement
Junior Frisco Women’s League will have four community
involvement activities a year. The activities will be performed as a
group with Frisco Women’s League sponsors
