What is Junior Frisco Women’s League?

The Junior Frisco Women’s League is a group of young women, ages 16-19, who are interested in helping the city of Frisco through volunteering.

The Purpose of Junior Frisco Women’s League

The focus of the Junior Frisco Women’s League program is mentoring, community service and education about college opportunities. Membership in Junior Frisco Women’s League gives a young woman the opportunity to work with her community, members of Frisco Women’s League and members of her league.

Benefits of Membership

As a member of Junior Frisco Women’s League a young woman will learn to develop leadership skills and gain valuable knowledge of college preparation and college life. Involvement in Junior Frisco Women’s League can often be used towards school credits. This volunteer experience can give members an edge when applying for jobs and college. You will find a volunteer record sheet to track service hours in your membership folder. Most importantly membership in Junior Frisco Women’s League gives a young woman the opportunity to increase self-esteem through helping others.

Meetings

There are four regular Junior Frisco Women’s League meetings a year. These meetings are designed to help members make knowledgeable decisions about college. There will be a meet and greet session at the beginning of each new membership class. This will be a time of discussion about Junior Frisco Women’s League.

Community Involvement

Junior Frisco Women’s League will have four community involvement activities a year. The activities will be performed as a group with Frisco Women’s League sponsors
